I use only select natural woods and old school shellac

and tung oil varnish for a finish. This allows the wood to

"vibrate" with a beautiful sustain.

On all my solid body guitars I use what I call a “true joint” to attach the neck to the body utilizing machine inserts in the neck and stainless steel machine screws to attach it.

This not only gives it good structure but you can take it apart and it fits nicely in an ordinary carry on bag (what good is a guitar if it’s not with you). Taking wood screws (which most guitars use) on and off would just weaken the structure.
